Originally from Colorado Springs, Rob started playing tennis at 7 years old due to the fact that his father was the general manager of The Country Club of Colorado, which had 16 tennis courts for him to play on as a little junior player. His liking for tennis really happened when he became 10 years old and started playing in tournaments. During my entire junior career I played in State, Regional and National tournaments all over the United States. When I turned 16 and attained my first National ranking I made the decision to start looking into playing collegiate tennis. After spending an entire year deciding what college could be the best for me I decided to go to the University of San Diego in California in 1990. I played mostly singles at USD during my 4 year education and we were always ranked in the top 25 in the nation. USD really became the best four years of my life playing top collegiate tennis for a division 1 school and playing against some of the best players in the United States.

Played at No. 1 for Nelson Mandela Metro University, 14 years coaching experience in South Africa, Dubai, USA and Cayman.
Coach of the Cayman Islands Elite Squad.

Taught tennis in Bulgaria, Austria, Germany, U.S.A. and the Cayman Islands since 1998.
2006-2008 Assistant Tennis Coach at Hawaii Pacific University (HPU).
Competed on the ATP tour 1996-2001.
Holds a Master's of Business Administration degree from HPU since 2008.
